Building a wall
If it takes 4 workers 6 days to build a wall, how many days would it take 3 workers?
Word Problem
A bridge is built across a river. One quarter of the bridge is over the left bank of the river and one third of the bridge is over the right bank. The river is 120 m wide. How long is the bridge?
First, find the total amount of work needed to build the wall.

Now divide the total work by the number of workers (3):
24 worker-days ÷ 3 workers = 8 days
