Let the three consecutive numbers be:
ReplyDeleteFirst number = x
Second number = x + 1
Third number = x + 2
Now add them up:
x + (x + 1) + (x + 2) = 111
⇒ 3x + 3 = 111
Now solve for x:
3x = 111 - 3
3x = 108
x = 36
So the three numbers are:
36, 37, and 38
