    Let the width = x cm
    Then the length = 2x cm

    The perimeter of a rectangle is:

    Perimeter = 2 × (length + width)
    So:

    2 × (x + 2x) = 36
    2 × (3x) = 36
    6x = 36
    x = 6

    Width = 6 cm
    Length = 2 × 6 = 12 cm

    Final Answer:
    Width = 6 cm
    Length = 12 cm
