Is it right-angled

A triangle has sides of length 7 cm, 24 cm, and 25 cm.
Is this a right-angled triangle?

Comments

  1. To check if a triangle is right-angled, we use Pythagoras' Theorem:

    If a² + b² = c², then the triangle is right-angled, where c is the longest side.

    Here, the longest side is 25 cm, so we test:

    a = 7,
    b = 24,
    c = 25

    Now calculate:

    7² + 24² = 49 + 576 = 625
    25² = 625

    Since 625 = 625, the triangle does satisfy Pythagoras’ Theorem.
