A delivery company packs boxes of different weights. A small box weighs 3 kg, and a large box weighs 7 kg. If a delivery truck is carrying 8 small boxes and 5 large boxes, what is the total weight of the boxes in the truck?

    Step 1: Find the total weight of the small boxes:
    8 small boxes × 3 kg = 24 kg

    Step 2: Find the total weight of the large boxes:
    5 large boxes × 7 kg = 35 kg

    Step 3: Add the two totals together:
    24 kg + 35 kg = 59 kg

    The total weight of the boxes in the truck is 59 kg.
