    We can see that the pattern is that you start with adding 3, then for each number, you increase the number you add by 2.

    3 + 3 = 6
    6 + 5 = 11
    11 + 7 = 18
    18 + 9 = 27

    Therefore, to get the next number we have to add 11 to 27. This would be equal to 38, which is therefore our answer
