On the ski slopes...

On the ski slopes the depth of the snow is 160cm and each day 3cm melts. After how many days will the depth of snow have fallen to 124cm

Comments

  1. To solve this one we first have to do 160 - 124 which is 36. This shows that 36cm will need to melt to fit the conditions. If 3cm melts each day, then it would take 36/3 = 12 days for the depth of snow to fall to 124cm
