Perfect numbers

28 is called a perfect number because the factors of 28, not including the number 28 itself, add up to 28.

1) Is 6 a perfect number

2) Is 12 a perfect number

Comments

  1. 1) If you take the factors of 6(excluding 6); 1, 2, 3 and add these up, you get 6 meaning 6 is a perfect number.

    2) If you take the factors of 12(excluding 12); 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and add these up, you get 16 meaning 12 is not a perfect number.
