The mean age of the five members of the ‘Macaroon 5’ boy band is 18. A new member joins the band. His age is 24. What is the new mean age of the group?

    First, we can find out the total of the five boys ages which would be 18 ⨉ 5 which is ninety. Now if we add the twenty-four we get 114. Now as there are 6 members we need to divide by 6, giving us 19. We have our answer. 19
