We can imagine the shaded triangle has an area of four, meaning the surplus unshaded part of one of the triangles is 5. If we add 5, 5 and 4 it will give us 14 and we want the fraction of the shaded part which is 4, meaning we get 4/14. This simplifies down to 2/7.
