  1. To find the volume of a cone you need to know that it is a third of a cylinder and a cylinder's volume is πr^2 * h (pi * r squared * h) where r is its radius and h is its height.
    Obviously, if a cone's volume is 1/3 of a cylinder's, then you just do 1/3 of the cylinders volume.
    Therefore, the volume of a cone is '1/3 * pi * r squared * height'.
